To enjoy your offset parasol, also known as a hanging parasol or cantilever parasol, for many years, proper care of the parasol fabric is essential. Our high-quality parasols feature Olefin fabric (polypropylene), specially developed for outdoor sun protection. With the right maintenance, the fabric remains colorfast, strong, and fully functional.

Why Choose an Olefin Parasol Fabric?

Cleaning Your Parasol Fabric

An Olefin parasol fabric is easy to clean:

  • Remove loose dirt such as dust, sand, and pollen
  • Gently clean with lukewarm water, a soft brush or sponge, and mild soap
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap residue
  • Let the parasol dry completely in the open air before closing

⚠️ Warning: do not use pressure washers, abrasive brushes, bleach, or aggressive detergents, as these can damage the fibers and protective coating.

Proper storage at the end of the season is crucial

  • Clean the Olefin fabric before winter
  • Allow the fabric to dry completely
  • Store the offset parasol with the protective cover in a dry, ventilated space
  • Avoid storing in damp areas

Our hanging parasols with Olefin fabric are easy to maintain but not maintenance-free. By regularly cleaning lightly, allowing the fabric to dry properly, and using a summer cover, your offset parasol will stay beautiful, sturdy, and colorfast season after season.
